The number of Short Form Determinations of Eligibility inventoried by the Maryland Historical Trust as of April 15, 2008 is 1771. Of these, 1765 locations have been digitized. Of the properties which were not digitized, 6 are unmapped due to poor locational information.The Short Form Determination of Eligibility vectors and database tables have been developed to be used for general planning purposes. The information has been developed at the 1:24000 scale, and does not depict legal boundaries of any properties. The digitizing is not complete, and the files are updated frequently. Starting with Version 1, an export of the attribute table was generated from the vector file, which includes the polygon Class that links the database table information. This list was checked to insure that each polygon had an ID, and that numbers were not duplicated. The database table includes fields for Digitized (DOEDIG) (Y/N) and also for number of polygons (DOEPOLYS) (some properties had more than one discrete location digitized). The number of polygons in the vector layer was then checked against the sum of the number of polygons in the database. Any discrepancies were corrected.Most of the properties have a one-to-one relation of a property to a discrete location. There are some exceptions, however:
1) Some properties have a one-to-many relation of a property to multiple locations. In these cases, there is one database record, and the multiple polygons are tagged with the same ID number. 2) Sometimes both a property, and individual structures within the property are evaluated. Therefore, there are polygons within other polygons in the vector layer.
3) Some properties have a one-to-many relation of a property to multiple records. In these cases, there are multiple database records that have the same ID number, and one polygon. The number of Short Form Determinations of Eligibility Properties in Maryland inventoried by the Maryland Historical Trust as of April 15, 2008 is 1771. Of these, 1765 locations have been digitized.
